Before reaching the highest point of Les Arcs / Peisey-Vallandry, the Aiguille Rouge summit at 3226m, you'll be able to take some time to relax, reflect and enjoy the moment with:

  • A 10-minute stroll through an extraordinary setting with the Aiguille Rouge Illuminated Murals.

  • Your first descent from high altitude (2,700 m) on the thrilling Aiguille Rouge Zipline!

  • A picnic, lunch or afternoon snack on the Varet Panoramic Terrace (2,700 m), located at the departure point of the Aiguille Rouge cable car and the highest terrace in the resort area.

  • The opportunity to learn more about the glaciers that surround us, particularly the Varet Glacier.

  • A chance to disconnect and take in a breathtaking high-mountain panorama from the iconic Aiguille Rouge Footbridge (La Passerelle) at 3,226 metres.

🚵 If you are cycling, you will need to leave your bike at the bottom of the Varet gondola lift. Bike racks are available for this purpose.

THE AIGUILLE ROUGE ILLUMINATED MURALS

What if it was possible to transform the garage of a cable car (the nocturnal shelter which protects the cabins from high mountain conditions) into something new? What would it be?

At the end of the Varet cable car, there's an unsuspected spot hidden from view, which every morning undergoes a transformation and dons its costume of light. The 500 m² of the Varet cabin garage has been transformed into an extraordinary experience at altitude. An unexpected passageway reveals a triptych of worlds in which visitors are invited to wander, listen and contemplate light frescoes revolving around the seasons.

The Aiguille Rouge Zipline

And what if you stepped through the door of the Aiguille Rouge Zipline ? Perched at an altitude of over 2,600 metres, this spectacular attraction invites you to experience the dream of flying like a bird.

You will be able to spread your wings for a flight of more than 1.8km at more than 130km/h, lying down, sitting, alone or in duo!

An adventure filled with adrenaline that is nonetheless contemplative.

VARET PANORAMIC TERRACE (2730m)

The Varet panoramic terrace is the highest in the resort, at an altitude of over 2700m, at the arrival point of the Varet cable car at Arc 2000!

You'll have a breathtaking view of the surrounding Alpine peaks, and the opportunity to find out more about them thanks to an orientation table.

Looking for a break? Come and relax in the sunshine at an eco-responsible high-altitude café!

The terrace is also home to a glacier education area (more information below).

Une exposition sur le glacier du Varet

A new glacier area is being unveiled. It's a place where skiers can learn more about the glacier that bears its name and learn more about the glaciers that surround them.

An exhibition to raise awareness of how the Varet glacier has evolved over time and the issues surrounding its existence.

The installation fits in with the architecture of the site and the natural environment, inviting visitors to pause for a moment. A suspended moment that aims to educate, inspire and encourage reflection on our shared responsibility towards nature.

The Aiguille Rouge viewing platform

Outdoor enthusiasts can head up high – very high indeed – to the Aiguille Rouge Viewing Platform, the highest point at the mountain area, and enjoy stunning 360° views of the Alps. The majestic peaks surrounding us offer a breathtaking natural spectacle.
