For your safety, you can also lower your saddle as far as it will go so that both feet are flat on the ground.
For your comfort and safety, you can adopt the rider position. Stand on your pedals with both pedals level, your legs slightly bent and apart, so that you remain as relaxed and flexible as possible.
To maintain a good grip on your handlebars, use only one or two fingers to brake, while keeping them on the brake levers at all times.
When braking, apply gentle and progressive pressure, using both brake levers equally and without sudden movements. It is best to avoid skidding, as it can be dangerous.
Look ahead and gather information to correctly identify the obstacle.
Adopt the rider position.
Maintain a steady speed and slightly release the brakes so that you can pass over the obstacle more easily.
It is easier to ride over roots when approaching them at a right angle.
Near the resort, you will encounter other trail users. To avoid frightening beginners and/or pedestrians, keep a sufficient distance and adapt your speed.
Start side by side. The last rider to arrive without putting a foot on the ground wins!
Do not leave your litter on the mountain area; take it back down and dispose of it in one of the resort's bins.
Do not leave the marked trails, so as not to damage the environment.
If you come across a herd, it may be accompanied by a protection dog. No problem, but to avoid alarming it, pass very slowly. It is recommended that you get off your bike and walk alongside it to reassure the dog.
